I'm trying to see how many of you:

A. lurk on Oppo

B. would like to contribute more to Oppo

I sure would like to here more off topic stuff and random thoughts from our authors and be able to engage with them a little more and I know you would too Oppo. So who's lurking?

As you probably suspected, I've been lurking on Oppo for ages. Never really found time to post since running Truck Yeah! takes a fair bit of effort, but I'd like to start putting more off-topic stuff here in the future.

I was actually looking for you specifically. There is just so much truck stuff I would love to hear your take on. Or at the very least get a better idea of what our authors are like when they aren't writing. A writing style masks or changes, I've found, a persons real style. Whats your take, for example, on the " whats a truck " post? Also, I've been thinking about putting together a fall moab oppo trip, wondering if that would be your cup of tea...your in Vegas right?

I'm actually in Upstate New York but I'd love to get back to Moab, probably won't surprise anyone that that's my kinda town.

A Truck Yeah! meetup/trail ride would be amazing. Maybe not in the near future but I'll start looking at options.

And here's my response to the "what's a truck" question . Basically; I know we put some non-trucks on the site but I think the mini SUVs, vans, and even some of the more off-roady wagons have enough in common with the Mission Of The Truck (some pretense of all-terrain capability and cargo utility) to be a reasonable enough fit. Would I like to review more trucks? Hell yeah, and as soon as somebody gives me the keys I'll write them up for y'all. But I'm not going to say "no" to a Nissan Rogue or BMW X5 demo just because it's not a truckly truck.

For now, Truck Yeah! will be hosting a mix of trucks and other utility vehicles, but that might evolve as what I get access to changes.

I've actually been wondering how I can post to Oppo. I don't really write, but historically I've been told I'm decently good at it, and I've had the occasional idea for a post that I had nowhere to put. I can't say I'll be able to provide a ton, but I'm interested to start writing and this summer I'll be attending local autocross events and a few rally/IMSA races that I'd be interested in sharing about. If you want to give me author privileges that would be sweet.

Right click on a layer, 'merge down'. You don't need to merge them to export the image though. Just make sure the layers you want are visible and save the image.

Sorry for the late response - just found this now. I can't take anything away from Trent's original; it was fantastic and I still love it, but to me, it's Johnny's song now. Mr. Cash singing this at the twilight of his life added a completely new dimension to the lyrics of this song. It still gives me chills to listen now. Personally, I think this is one of the best music videos ever laid down on tape. Johnny definitely went out on top. Thanks for posting it!
